Biography

Eric brings a bevy of life and litigation experience to the CLC team and has practiced law since 2011. After forays into criminal defense, family law and estate planning, Eric found a home in the legal field in 2014, when he began working at John H. Haskin and Associates, one of Indiana’s oldest plaintiff-focused employment law firms, and has focused his practice on employment and discrimination issues ever since. He’s a veteran of several bench and jury trials and has made court appearances in over 35 Indiana counties. He’s admitted to the Northern and Southern District of Indiana United States District Courts and has presented oral argument at the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.

Eric is a part of a family of lawyers. His father was the first member of his family to attend college and has been an attorney in Northeast Indiana since 1975, and his brother is a partner at an intellectual property firm in Indianapolis. Eric lives with his wife, Kristin, in Indianapolis, and they recently welcomed their first child, a boy.

Following his graduation from DePauw University, Eric used his English Writing degree as a professional journalist for several years, writing for newspapers, magazines and on the Web before beginning his legal education at Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law. While in law school, Eric continued his journalism endeavors as the publisher of ColtPower.com, an Indianapolis Colts website on the Scout.com network, appearing often on sports radio programs,
podcasts, and on the NFL Network as a team expert.

When he’s not counseling clients on employment issues, Eric loves exploring Indiana state parks and wilderness areas with his English Springer Spaniel, Scout. A fan of both American and European football, Eric follows the Indianapolis Colts and Liverpool FC year round. He’s also an avid reader who enthusiastically tries (and fails) to reach his goal of finishing 52 books each year. Eric is also a music lover with a collection of classic vinyl at home, and can often be found rocking out to the working-class anthems of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
